Stu exists to help you keep more of your money, and that starts with respecting your data. Here's what we collect and why.
What this policy covers
This policy covers usestu.com and the Stu waitlist. Stu is not live yet, so right now we collect very little. Before Stu launches and asks you to connect any accounts, we'll publish an updated policy that covers the product itself.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address.
- Your answer to “What should Stu tackle first?”, if you choose to give one.
- The website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example, utm_source), so we know which channels bring people to Stu.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and signups. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you personally. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To email you about Stu, including when your spot opens.
- To decide which features to build first.
- To understand how people find us and improve this site.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
We don't sell your data
We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share your email with anyone for their own marketing.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site. They process data only on our behalf:
- Vercel, for hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
- Supabase, for storing the waitlist.
- An email provider, when we send waitlist updates.
Security and retention
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our database provider, and access is limited to the Stu team.
We keep your waitlist information until you ask us to delete it or we no longer need it for the waitlist.
Your choices and rights
Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@usestu.com.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK or California), you may have additional rights under local law. Email us and we'll help.
Children
Stu is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email people on the waitlist.
